Driver on Bail After Oldham Police Chase Crash

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that a driver arrested following a crash after a police chase in Oldham has been released on bail. The incident occurred on July 7, when officers became aware of a car being driven dangerously in the area. The vehicle passed a police car at speed, prompting a short pursuit.

Pedestrian Seriously Injured

A witness described the police vehicle spinning around to follow the car. Within seconds, a pedestrian was knocked down on Park Road in the Glodwick area. The man suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital. Police later arrested a man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Police Update

In an update issued on July 9, a GMP spokesperson said the arrested man has been released on bail. Emergency crews, including ambulances and multiple traffic officers, attended the scene. Park Road was cordoned off between Landseer Street and Alexandra Street for investigations.
