Police have launched a worldwide hunt for the fugitive son of slain gangster Kevin “Gerbil” Carroll, a year after an alleged murder bid at his home. Detectives have been trying to trace Konnor Green after another man was attacked at the home he shares with his mother, Kelly Bo Green, 46, on October 10 last year.
Warrant and Interpol Notification
The 22-year-old, who also uses the surname Carroll, was only six when his father was executed at an Asda car park in Robroyston, Glasgow, in 2010 by a hitman from the rival Lyons group. It is understood from sources that a warrant has been issued for Green’s arrest and Interpol have been notified due to the time that has elapsed.
A source said: “The police have tried and failed to get their hands on Konnor for a whole year. Given the length of time he’s been in the wind, it’s a distinct possibility he’s not in Scotland – and probably not even in the UK. His half-brother managed to get 5000 miles away to sunny Mexico so he wouldn’t be the first in the family to get abroad.”
Family Background and Previous Incident
Konnor’s half-brother, Reece Trainer, 26, managed to flee to Mexico when he was wanted for his role in a gangland shooting in Milton, Glasgow, in 2021. In May 2025, Konnor and his mother – the daughter of late crime boss Jamie Daniel – were themselves the targets of a gangland firebombing at their bungalow in Drumchapel, Glasgow. Owen Martin, 21, was jailed for three years after being snared as part of Operation Portaledge, a police probe into a recent serious organised crime feud in Scotland.
The source added: “Konnor has the means and the connections to get himself hidden but he’s now got every force on the planet looking for him.”
Previous Court Proceedings
The death of Gerbil was mentioned during Reece Trainer’s sentencing after the assassination of John Quinn McGregor, 44, in August 2021. Malcolm McNee, 63, described as an associate of the Glasgow-based Daniel organised crime group, chased his victim before shooting him in the chest in August 2021. McGregor died two days later. McNee was handed 22 years behind bars after pleading guilty to the murder. Co-accused Trainer was jailed for 54 months after he admitted having a firearm on the day and location of the murder and attempting to pervert the course of justice by fleeing to Mexico.
Judge Lord Harrower said: “You of all people must have been aware of that risk, your own stepfather having also been shot dead in broad daylight.”
In relation to the attack at Konnor’s home, a spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing.” They declined to comment on the warrant. A spokesman for Interpol said: “The organisation does not comment on specific cases and individuals.”
