The body of a woman has been recovered from the water near Arbroath Beach following a search by emergency services.
Police Scotland said it received a report of concern for a woman in the Arbroath area at around 6pm on Friday, 6 November, 2026. Officers and other emergency services attended and carried out searches for the woman.
The woman's body was recovered from the water in the beach area at around 1.45am on Saturday, 7 November.
Next of kin informed
Her next of kin has been informed of the discovery. Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Report to Procurator Fiscal
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, as is standard in such cases.
