Police have discovered the body of a woman in a freezer inside an apartment in Pymble, on Sydney's upper north shore. The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found after officers forced their way into the property on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the unit on Bobbin Head Road around 10am after a friend raised concerns for the woman's welfare. A crime scene has been established and will be examined by specialist forensic officers.
New South Wales Police confirmed they are investigating the possibility that the woman's husband has fled to China with the couple's two children. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Detectives are continuing their inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death, which is being treated as suspicious.
