Two men have been arrested following an alleged kidnapping and assault at a Vue cinema in Blackburn. Lancashire Police were called to the Vue Cinema on Peel Leisure and Retail Park at around 8.50pm on Saturday (August 9) after reports of an incident.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20s had been assaulted. A woman, also in her 20s, had been taken against her will from the cinema. She was later located safely that same evening, police said.
Two men, aged 37 and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm and kidnap. They remain in custody for questioning as the investigation continues.
Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses who were at the cinema between 7.30pm and 8.40pm on Saturday evening. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or email 8303@lancashire.police.uk, quoting log 1283 of August 9.
