Woman in hospital after Cardiff car hit; man arrested

A woman is in hospital after being hit by a car in Cardiff in the early hours of Friday morning. The incident took place just before 4am at Pascal Close in Trowbridge.

Arrest made

South Wales Police said a 33-year-old man from Trowbridge has been arrested on suspicion of attempt grievous bodily harm, domestic violence assault, driving whilst disqualified, driving with no insurance and breach of court bail conditions.

The woman was taken to hospital following the incident.

Police statement

A South Wales Police spokesperson said: “South Wales Police was called at 3:55am this morning (August 21) to reports of a woman being hit by a car on Pascal Close in Trowbridge.

“A woman remains in hospital.

“A 33-year-old man from Trowbridge has been arrested on suspicion of attempt GBH, DV assault, driving whilst disqualified, driving with no insurance and breach of court bail conditions and remains in police custody.”
