Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Berwyn Avenue in Blackley at around 2.45am on Saturday, August 15. A man was seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
Arrest made
A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of wounding and assaulting a police officer. She was taken into custody for questioning.
Police statement
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Berwyn Avenue in Blackley at around 2:45am this morning (Saturday 15 August 2026). A man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment."
The spokesperson added: "A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of wounding and assaulting a police officer. She is in police custody. The scene has since been stood down."
