Police are appealing for witnesses after a 24-year-old woman was stabbed at Westbury Conservative Club during a disturbance in the early hours of Sunday.
Incident details
Officers attended the club at about 12.45am following reports of disorder involving a large number of people and that a woman had been stabbed. The 24-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment for a knife wound. Her injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Arrests made
A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. A 21-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and one count of assaulting a member of the public.
Witness appeal
Appealing for information, DS Kayne Borresen said: “There would have been numerous people present at the venue where this disorder took place. We are actively investigating the circumstances in which a woman appears to have been stabbed and others were assaulted.
“It is important that we hear from anyone who was at the scene and may have witnessed what took place.”
