Vandals Smash Windows at Wetherspoons Pub in Guildford

A Wetherspoon pub in Guildford was targeted by vandals on Wednesday evening, showering diners with glass and prompting a police helicopter search. The incident occurred at the Rodborough Buildings on the High Street at around 21:00 GMT.

According to BBC Surrey reporter Adrian Harms, who was inside the pub at the time, stones were thrown at the window, breaking it in two places. 'People were pretty frightened and were hiding under the tables and running down the stairs,' he said.

Surrey Police confirmed that they believed stones were thrown at the window. Officers, assisted by the National Police Air Service, searched the area but no culprits were found. The town centre was closed for 45 minutes following the attack.
