A tragic accident occurred over Memorial Day weekend in South Carolina, where a woman lost her life after a loose umbrella struck her while dining at a lakeside restaurant. Dana Weinger, 56, of Huger, was enjoying a meal at the Driftwood Grill on Lake Marion on Saturday when high winds dislodged an umbrella, sending it flying into her neck. The impact severed her carotid artery, according to Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell, as reported by WIS 10. Weinger died at the scene.
