Two police officers were injured and taken to hospital after their car crashed on a rural road in the middle of the night. The collision happened on a section of the A483 in Powys during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Details of the Incident
Police were called to the scene after a Toyota police car, containing two officers, was involved in the single-vehicle crash. Both officers were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Dyfed-Powys Police has confirmed.
A spokeswoman for the force said: "We received a report of a single-vehicle collision on the A483, between Camnant and Dolfor, at around 3:30am on Sunday 28 June. The road was closed whilst the vehicle, a Toyota police car, was recovered. The Ambulance Service attended and two officers were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening, before being later released. The vehicle was recovered and the road re-opened at around 6:30am."
Aftermath and Road Closure
The road closure between Camnant and Dolfor lasted approximately three hours while the vehicle was recovered and the scene was cleared. The officers were released from hospital following treatment for their injuries, which were not serious.
