Two men in their 20s have been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Central London. The Metropolitan Police were called to an altercation on Charing Cross Road at 4.02am and found the two men wounded.

Police and ambulance response

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service. The pair were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where they remain. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

There have been no arrests, and enquiries are ongoing. A wide police cordon has been established and remains in place as forensic officers examine the scene.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "At 4.02am on Sunday, 4 October, police were called to an altercation on Charing Cross Road."

"Officers attended alongside London Ambulance Service. Two men, aged in their 20s, were treated at the scene for stab wounds before being taken to hospital, where they remain. Their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing."
