Two people were taken to hospital after a lorry and van collided on the A9 near the A86 junction at Kingussie on Monday morning. Emergency services were alerted to the crash at around 5:10am.
Crash details
The driver of the van and a passenger were taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment. No further information is available on their injuries at this stage.
The road was closed for around two hours and reopened at approximately 7:10am.
Police statement
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.10am on Monday, 5 October, we received a report of a crash involving a van and a lorry on the A9 near the junction for the A86 at Kingussie.”
“Emergency services attended and the driver and passenger of the van were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment. The road was closed and re-opened around 7.10am.”
