Three people have been arrested after four individuals were shot at a Birmingham nightclub, leaving one man in critical condition. The incident occurred at Mango nightclub on Bristol Street at approximately 3am on Saturday.
West Midlands police confirmed that one man remains in hospital with critical injuries, while two other men and a woman are being treated for less serious wounds. The three arrested individuals, aged in their 20s and 30s, were stopped in a car on the M6 in Warwickshire shortly after the shooting. They are being held in custody on suspicion of violent disorder.
Acting Chief Inspector Michael Clarke urged witnesses to come forward, stating: “This happened in a busy nightclub, on one of the main roads out of Birmingham city centre, so it’s vital that we hear from anybody who saw what happened or who may have captured it on dashcam as they went past.” He added that the investigation is moving rapidly and that police are working to identify everyone involved.
