Two people have been arrested following a disturbance in Rhydyfelin, near Pontypridd, in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Emergency services attended the incident on Sunday evening.
Police called to Pinewood Avenue
Officers were called to Pinewood Avenue at around 7pm after reports of a disturbance. Witnesses reported seeing multiple police vehicles and paramedics at the scene. Two people were reportedly seen injured, though police have not commented on this.
Arrests made and custody details
A 27-year-old man from Rhydyfelin was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and a 37-year-old woman from Treforest was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and harassment. Both remain in police custody.
A South Wales Police statement said: "South Wales Police was called at 7:00pm on Sunday August 23 to reports of a disturbance on Pinewood Avenue in Rhydyfelin. A 27-year-old man from Rhydfelin has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in police custody. A 37-year-old woman from Treforest has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and harassment and remains in police custody. Investigations into the incident are ongoing."
