A murder investigation is underway in Wolverhampton after a 30-year-old man was stabbed to death in the early hours of Christmas Day. Two men have been arrested in connection with the fatal incident.

West Midlands Police were called to Burcot Avenue in Wolverhampton at approximately 3:30am on Thursday, 25 December 2025. Officers discovered a man with serious stab wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the victim, aged 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arrests Made in Murder Investigation

As part of their urgent enquiries, detectives have arrested two local men on suspicion of murder. The suspects, aged 35 and 58, are currently in police custody for questioning. A police scene remains in place on Burcot Avenue as forensic experts conduct a detailed examination.

Detective Chief Superintendent Ed Foster, who is leading the investigation, stated that the force is in the early stages of its work. He confirmed that officers are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry.
