Twin baby girls, aged 15 months, have been found dead from dehydration in their beds in northern France, with their parents taken into police custody. The incident occurred in the town of Beuvrages, near Valenciennes, where emergency services were called after the parents reportedly discovered the sisters unresponsive.
Four Other Siblings Also Dehydrated
According to local media reports, four other children aged three, four, five, and six were also found to be suffering from dehydration. One of them was airlifted to a hospital for urgent medical treatment. The condition of the other siblings has not been disclosed.
Parents in Custody
The parents of the twins are being held at the local police station in Valenciennes as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. A cordon has been placed outside the family's home in Beuvrages.
Authorities have not yet released further details about the cause of the dehydration or whether any charges will be filed. The investigation is ongoing.
