A man who confronted a naked passenger on the London Underground has been interviewed by police after the incident turned violent. British Transport Police confirmed that the vigilante was quizzed on Monday, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The incident occurred on a Hammersmith and City line train at around 3.30pm on Thursday. The suspect reportedly dropped his trousers in front of children and refused to pull them up, shouting obscenities at commuters. Up to four passengers intervened, leading to a physical altercation.
Footage shows the group punching and kicking the naked man to the floor before throwing him off the train at East Ham station. He was later detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital, where he remains sectioned. Police believe he was assaulted by the passengers.
Detectives have appealed for witnesses, but no arrests have been made. A BTP spokeswoman said: 'One man involved in the assault has been interviewed by officers, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.'
