Donald Trump has said he is “surprised” that five men suspected of a terror plot near RAF Fairford, a base used by the US Air Force, have been released on bail. Speaking in the Oval Office, the US President added: “I’m surprised that they released them. I wouldn’t have done that.”
Five British nationals arrested
Five British nationals were arrested on suspicion of explosives offences and terrorism on Sunday (September 27) after three suspicious vans were found near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. Police have said they are considering “every possible angle,” including the use of proxies by a hostile state.
