A three-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital with severe leg injuries after being attacked by a dog in a west London park. The incident occurred at approximately 12:50pm on Wednesday, 24 September, in Rectory Fields, Ealing.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the girl was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service for treatment. The owner of the dog is believed to have fled the scene before officers arrived. No arrests have been made at this stage.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the owner or who witnessed the attack to contact them on 101, quoting reference 01/8008839/25.
This incident follows a similar attack in Rainham, Kent, two months ago, where another three-year-old girl was mauled by a Cockapoo near Miers Court Primary School. The owner of that dog also fled the scene. The child underwent plastic surgery and remains traumatised.
