Police are urgently appealing for information after a two-year-old child was left seriously injured in a collision with an electric bike in Clacton, Essex.

Collision on Pathfields Road

Officers were called to reports of a collision involving the bike and a two-year-old pedestrian in Pathfields Road at around 9pm on Thursday, August 13.

The child sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

Rider description and appeal

The rider failed to stop at the scene and was described as wearing a grey hoodie top and a balaclava. The electric bike involved is described as having a scrambler design with red handlebars.

The appeal comes as part of an ongoing investigation, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
