Three dead in Rotherham crash, police seek witnesses

A 17-year-old boy and two men, aged 21 and 23, have died following a single-vehicle crash in Rotherham. South Yorkshire Police were called to Denaby Lane at 11.39pm on Saturday (August 8) after reports of a collision involving one car.

Details of the incident

A grey Seat Cupra Leon, travelling towards Kilnhurst, left the road. Despite efforts from emergency services, the three occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. A second teenage boy, also 17, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police appeal

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Their families have been informed and are being supported by officers. A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with minor injuries."

An investigation is underway, and police are asking for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
