Three Dead After Fall from London High-Rise

Three people, including a child, have tragically lost their lives after falling from a high-rise block of flats in Elephant and Castle, south London. Emergency services were called to the UNCLE building on Churchyard Row at 7:29 am on Wednesday, where they discovered the bodies of a woman, a man, and a child. Reports had been made to the police indicating that individuals had fallen from a significant height.

Despite immediate attempts to resuscitate them, all three were pronounced dead at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed and are currently being supported by specialist officers. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, London's Air Ambulance, and the London Fire Brigade.

Authorities are treating the deaths as unexpected, and no other injuries have been reported. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson provided details of the response: “We were called at 7:31 am on Wednesday 27 May to reports of an incident on Churchyard Row, SE11. We dispatched a number of resources, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and paramedics from our hazardous area response team (Hart). A trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance also attended. Our first paramedic arrived within approximately four minutes. Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, three people were pronounced dead at the scene.”
