A man has been left with serious injuries after being struck by a concrete slab in a disturbing incident on the Isle of Sheppey. Police have arrested two teenagers following the attack, which has left the local community in shock.

Kent Police confirmed they had detained two male youths on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. A spokesperson stated: "We were called to reports of an assault in Sheerness at approximately 4:30pm on Wednesday. A man in his 40s sustained serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital."
