A teenage girl has died after being struck by vehicles on the M20 in Kent in the early hours of Saturday.

Collision on coastbound carriageway

Kent Police said officers were called at 3.19am on Saturday following a collision on the coastbound carriageway between Junction 4 (West Malling) and Junction 5 (Aylesford).

The girl, who was on the carriageway near a footbridge close to Teapot Lane in Aylesford, had been "struck by vehicles including a Ford Transit van and a Vauxhall Corsa", the force said.

Investigation and appeal

Officers attended the scene and the girl was sadly pronounced dead. Her next of kin have been informed.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage, particularly from anyone who travelled through the area between 3.15am and 3.28am and saw a pedestrian in the carriageway.

Motorists with dashcams are also being asked to check their footage for anything that could assist the investigation.
