Man Killed with Concrete Slab on Kent Beach, Three Teens Arrested

A man in his forties was killed on a beach in Leysdown-on-Sea, Isle of Sheppey, after being struck on the head with a concrete slab, according to witnesses. Kent Police were called to the scene at about 7pm on Sunday following an altercation involving a small group. The victim was found with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Three teenagers—a 16-year-old girl and two boys aged 14 and 15—have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Witnesses reported seeing the victim being chased along a path. One holidaymaker, a father of three, said he saw a youth kick the victim in the head. He described finding the man slumped on the floor with a woman attempting CPR, adding that it was obvious he was dead.

Staff at the nearby Warden Bay pub were alerted when someone came to ask for the defibrillator. Landlord Chris Prime took the device to the scene before emergency services arrived. A police cordon has been set up behind the beach in front of a caravan park. Kent Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
