A teenage girl who disappeared after meeting a man on Snapchat has been found alive following a nationwide manhunt. Kylie Arellano, who was 15 when she left her family home in Garden City, Utah, in May 2025, was located on Sunday, bringing an end to a 500-day search.

Discovery in Oregon

The FBI confirmed that Kylie was found with a 39-year-old man in Oregon, who was taken into custody without incident. No further details were provided by the agency at the time of the announcement.

A law enforcement source told Fox News that the suspect allegedly met the teenager on Snapchat before her disappearance. The FBI's Salt Lake City field office stated that the investigation had been active for more than a year, pursuing leads from across the U.S. and other countries.

Family's Relief

Kylie's mother, Stephanie Coleman, who had set up a Facebook group to share information, confirmed the news. She wrote: 'I was looking at a photo of my babygirl and Kylie was found safe, the day before my birthday. Thank you all so much! We will be back, to save more!'

The group had claimed that Kylie had been held captive for more than a year, but her mother never gave up looking. Kylie's grandmother also expressed gratitude on X, thanking the authorities for their efforts to find her.

Ongoing Investigation

The FBI's Salt Lake City field office said in a statement: 'As this case is ongoing, no further information will be released at this time.' FBI Director Kash Patel added: 'Tonight, local police in Oregon brought a minor who had been missing for a year and a half to safety, acting on information provided by our FBI Salt Lake City Field Office. We are grateful she can return home, and we will continue working with our partners to hold those responsible accountable.'
