A teenage boy is fighting for his life after a collision involving a BMW X1 and two bicycles in Princes Risborough. Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following the serious incident.
Collision details
The crash occurred on Thursday at 11.05pm on the A4010, approximately 100m north of Little Kimble Railway Station. A black BMW X1 was involved in a collision with two bicycles.
Three teenage boys were riding the bicycles. One suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital. A second sustained minor injuries, and the third was unharmed.
Arrest made
The driver of the BMW fled the scene without stopping. A 36-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop. He remains in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Oliver Cahill-Smith, leading the investigation, said: "We are carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances of this collision and would urge anyone who witnessed it, or who may have relevant footage, to please come forward."
