Brazen Daylight Shooting Claims a Life in Sydney's West
A man has been fatally shot in a brazen daylight attack in the western Sydney suburb of Blacktown. The incident, which has sent shockwaves through the local community, occurred on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Emergency Response and Tragic Discovery
Emergency services were dispatched to Carinya Street, Blacktown, at approximately 11.50am after receiving multiple reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers from the Blacktown Police Area Command discovered a man with critical gunshot wounds.
The victim had been shot in the neck, chest, and leg. Despite the desperate efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics to save his life, the man died at the scene.

As paramedics attended to the victim, police spotted a Mazda utility vehicle fleeing the immediate area. Officers immediately attempted to stop the vehicle, but it failed to comply, initiating a police pursuit.
The chase was terminated a short time later when the Mazda crashed on Kildare Road. Two occupants abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot.
However, their flight was short-lived. Police quickly apprehended both individuals. The suspects were subsequently taken to Blacktown Police Station for questioning.
