A man has died and a woman is fighting for her life after a crash that took place following a police pursuit in Warwickshire.
Crash after police chase
The incident happened yesterday afternoon as officers tried to stop a black Audi on Birmingham Road in Stratford-upon-Avon. The driver of the car failed to stop and made off in the direction of the A46 before travelling back towards Stratford on the A439 Warwick Road.
Collision with Ford Puma
Minutes later, the car driver is understood to have been in collision with another vehicle – a white Ford Puma. The male driver of the Audi was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
Woman in critical condition
The Ford driver was taken to hospital where she remains at this time in a critical condition.
