A quiet evening in Stafford town centre turned to tragedy as police launched a murder investigation following a fatal stabbing on Corporation Street.
Officers from Staffordshire Police were called to the scene at approximately 8:20 PM on Tuesday evening, where they discovered a man with serious injuries. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector John Weaver, leading the investigation, stated: "This was a brutal attack that has resulted in the tragic loss of life. We are treating this as murder and are pursuing several active lines of enquiry."
