A small plane crashed in Croatia on Thursday, killing at least four people, according to police. The incident occurred near Medulin, a town on the Istria peninsula.
The official HINA news agency reported that the aircraft was a German-registered plane that had taken off from Austria. Photos from the scene showed wreckage in a field, with police and firefighters in attendance.
Local pilot Nijaz Delic told the Index news portal that the plane “spiralled (in the air) and crashed into the ground.” The total number of people on board remains unknown, and no further details have been released.
