Two Arrested in Croydon Murder Probe After Teen Stabbed to Death

A second person has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old boy at a house in Croydon, south London. Police discovered the teenager with stab wounds at a residential address in Bracken Avenue on Thursday, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives confirmed that an 18-year-old man was arrested earlier on suspicion of murder in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. A 15-year-old was also arrested in Brighton, East Sussex on Friday, and has been transferred to a police station in London for questioning.

The Metropolitan Police stated that a post-mortem examination will be held in due course, and they are keeping an 'open mind' regarding the motive. The victim's identity has not yet been released, but next of kin have been informed.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Blair appealed for information, saying: 'Our investigation is gathering pace but though we have made our second arrest, we still want to hear from anyone who has information relating to this horrific loss of a young life.'
