A major search operation is underway in West Wales for a 47-year-old man who went missing after going rock climbing. The man, identified only as Ben, last spoke to his family around midday yesterday.

Dyfed-Powys Police said he intended to go rock climbing either in the Carreg y Barcud area, near Trelerw, or Caer Bwdy Bay, outside St Davids. The force has not released his surname.
