Scotland fan missing after Miami nightclub visit

A desperate appeal has been launched after a Tartan Army footsoldier failed to make it home from a nightclub in Miami while following Scotland at the World Cup. Friends of Fraser Wiseman are growing increasingly concerned after losing contact with him following a night out in the Florida city.

The young Scot was last seen in the early hours after visiting E11EVEN nightclub in downtown Miami. According to his friends, he was wearing a blue tartan kilt and the 1996 Scotland away strip, which is white with purple and blue detail.

Friends plead for help on social media

Fraser's friend, Jack Thomson, took to social media to plead for help in tracing him, urging people in the area to keep an eye out. In an emotional post, Jack wrote: “Hi everyone, our pal Fraser Wiseman didn't make it home last night and we can't get through to him this morning. If anyone can help us out and keep an eye out in downtown Miami or south heading towards South Beach or Miami Beach. He was last seen at eleven nightclub in downtown. I’ve attached a photo of what he was wearing last night. Any help would be really appreciated, cheers everyone.”

Thousands of Scotland fans in Miami for World Cup

Thousands of Scotland fans have descended on the city as Steve Clarke's men prepare to take on Brazil in the final group game at the Hard Rock Stadium on Wednesday. This comes after Boston was swarmed with the Tartan Army for the side's games against Haiti and Morocco at Gillette Stadium.

A photograph shared as part of the appeal shows Fraser wearing a blue tartan kilt, a sporran featuring a thistle emblem and Scotland’s iconic Euro 1996 away shirt. He is described as white, of medium build and with short brown hair.

Friends are now urging anyone who may have seen Fraser, or who has information about his whereabouts, to come forward as concern continues to mount. The appeal has been widely shared online, with well-wishers rallying behind efforts to locate him. Anyone who spots Fraser or has information that could help trace him is being urged to contact his friends immediately.
