Police name woman found dead in Swindon home as murder inquiry continues

Wiltshire Police have named the victim of a murder investigation as Sarah Forrester, a 55-year-old mental health counsellor. She was found unresponsive at a home in Moredon, Swindon, on Friday evening after police responded to reports of disorder.

A 13-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail. Police have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.

Detective Chief Inspector Guy Elkins said: “Our thoughts are with Sarah’s friends and family at this awful time. An investigation into her death is being led by our major crime investigation team and local residents will continue to see increased policing activity in the area.”

Ms Forrester worked for the Kelly Foundation, a Swindon-based mental health charity. In a statement, the charity said: “We are heartbroken at the sudden loss of our lovely Sarah. She was completely committed to the charity and devoted to her two young children. Sarah was an incredible person, kind, thoughtful, considerate, caring and funny.”

The foundation was set up in memory of Kelly Jobanputra, a BBC Radio Wiltshire presenter who took her own life in 2019.
