Greater Manchester Police have released images of three males they wish to trace after a violent street brawl on Wilmslow Road in Rusholme left three men with stab wounds.
Incident Details
Officers were called to Wilmslow Road at around 10.15pm on Saturday, 28 June, following reports of a fight. Upon arrival, they found three men aged 27, 28, and 30 suffering from knife injuries. Their injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing, police confirmed.
A man in his 30s was arrested on Monday night on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and grievous bodily harm. He has since been bailed pending further inquiries.
Investigation Progress
Detectives are examining CCTV footage and witness accounts as part of an ongoing investigation. Detective Inspector Seán McFadden, from GMP's City of Manchester district, said: "This was a violent incident that left three men with injuries, and we are determined to identify everyone involved."
He added: "Our officers responded quickly on the night, and we are progressing a thorough investigation, with CCTV footage and witness accounts already secured. We understand incidents like this can cause concern in the community, and I want to reassure the people that there is no wider threat to the public."
Appeal for Information
Police are now asking the public to help identify the three males pictured. Anyone who recognises them or has any information is urged to come forward. DI McFadden said: "However, it is vital we establish exactly what happened and bring those responsible to justice. The three men pictured are believed to have important information, and we are asking for the public's help to identify them."
A GMP spokesperson stated that at this stage, there is no indication of a wider threat to the general public.
