Gardeners working for the Royal Parks have launched a three-day strike in an ongoing dispute over pay.
Industrial action backed by members
Members of the GMB employed by a private contractor walked out after voting overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action.
They work in London parks including Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and St James’s Park.
Union says workers will not back down
Anna Lee, GMB regional organiser, said: “Our members are skilled, experienced professionals who create and maintain our capital’s world-class parks.
“They love their jobs, but they know what their labour is worth and they will not back down until they get a fair pay offer.”
