Kent Police have launched an investigation after two rare miniature horses were stolen from a farm in Edenbridge, Kent. The animals, which stand at just 2 feet 8 inches tall, are believed to have been taken between 8pm on May 27 and 1am on May 28.
Incident Details
The theft occurred on Marsh Green Road, where a gate was damaged during the incident. Officers attended the scene to conduct house-to-house inquiries and review available CCTV footage. Images of the stolen horses have been released in an appeal for public assistance.
The Stolen Horses
The horses are a breeding pair of the Argentine Falabella breed. The mare is black, while the stallion is white with brown spots. The Falabella is prized for its small stature, distinctive appearance, and friendly temperament, according to the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre sanctuary. Originating in South America in the mid-19th century, the breed was developed through careful selective breeding.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the west Kent appeals line at 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/85133/26. Local residents with private CCTV or drivers with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the theft are also asked to check their recordings for any relevant material.
