Arrest on the Greens

At around 10am on Friday, officers from the Caerphilly North neighbourhood policing team pursued a suspected shoplifter through the golf course. They located a 51-year-old man and arrested him on suspicion of robbery. The suspect had attempted to evade capture by hiding in the rough.

With backup units still far away, a golfer kindly offered the officers a golf buggy to transport the suspect back to their police car. The man was then taken into custody for questioning.
