Spanish police stormed a Ryanair flight from Leeds Bradford to Alicante after two drunken British men caused chaos on board. The incident occurred last Thursday, September 4, when the pair became rowdy during the two-and-a-half-hour journey, unnerving other passengers and forcing cabin crew to call for backup.
Upon landing at Alicante around 7:30 pm, Guardia Civil officers boarded the plane and removed the troublemakers. Footage shows an officer wrestling one of the men as passengers shouted, 'Get off the f***ing plane.' A witness described the scene as 'carnage,' adding that the men were drunk from boarding and grew increasingly disruptive.
A Ryanair spokesperson stated, 'Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behaviour... This is a matter for local police.'
The incident follows a similar event days earlier, when a man allegedly tried to open an emergency door on a Ryanair flight from Bournemouth to Girona, forcing an emergency landing in Toulouse, France.
