Police Seize Large Knife from Scots Park After Report

Police officers were seen carrying a large blade from a park in Kirkcaldy after a man was allegedly spotted with a weapon earlier that day. Police Scotland confirmed that a knife was found in the Dysart Road area at around 2:30 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2026, after being discovered by a member of the public.

Arrest Made After Earlier Incident

The discovery followed an earlier report of a man believed to be in possession of a weapon on Cross Street, Dysart, in the early hours of the morning. A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with that incident and is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Locals reported seeing officers carrying the blade away from the beach at Ravenscraig Park. The knife was recovered safely, and enquiries are ongoing, according to a Police Scotland spokesman.
