Police are searching for two missing teenage siblings who have vanished from their west London home.
The Met received reports of two missing children at an address in Hayes at around 9.30am on Monday morning.
The children have now been named as 16-year-old girl Mukarma and 14-year-old boy Muhammed.
Descriptions of the Missing Teens
Mukarma is described as being Asian, 5ft3, with a slim build and long, black, wavy hair that is often in braids. She has a dimple on one side of her face and may be wearing a Hijab.
Muhammed is described as being Asian, 5ft9, with a slim build and shoulder-length black hair. He often wears glasses.
Vehicle and Last Sighting
A family member's car has also been reported missing - and the Met believe the children took the vehicle in the early hours of Monday morning.
The car is a white Toyota Prius, with registration number KR10 NTF, which was last seen travelling westbound on the A40 towards Beaconsfield at around 11.25am on Monday.
There have been no further camera sightings of the car since, and family members have not seen or heard from either child.
Police Appeal for Public Help
Detective Sergeant Gary Walker, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are increasingly concerned for the welfare of Mukarma and Muhammed due to their ages, the length of time they have been missing and the belief that they may be driving a car without a license.
“It is now a critical time in our investigation. By now the children, who are extremely vulnerable, could be anywhere in the country, so we are appealing to the public to come forward with any information or sightings. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have offered them assistance or accommodation in recent days.
“Any piece of information, no matter how small, could be crucial to our investigation.”
Anyone who sees Mukarma or Muhammed has been urged to call 999 immediately, quoting reference CAD 2117/17AUG, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
