Police have released two images of a person they are looking to trace as investigations continue after a Durham Constabulary police officer was left injured in Sunderland.
Officers are appealing for the public's assistance to identify a person in connection with Wednesday morning's incident in the Cooperative Terrace area.
The officer, who was conducting enquiries in the area following reports of a stolen vehicle, was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Northumbria Police have today, Thursday, released two images of a person they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries. The person pictured was in the area at the time the collision occurred.
Six boys, aged between 13 and 17, who were arrested in connection with the report have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Investigation continues
Cooperative Terrace has since been re-opened, and officers remain in the area to carry out enquiries and reassure the public.
Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Fenney, of Northumbria Police, said: “Thank you to everyone who has so far provided information towards our investigation. We have carried out a number of lines of enquiry already and would ask that anyone with further details please get in touch so that we can piece together exactly what took place.”
