Police have released a further 28 CCTV images as part of their investigation into the disorder that followed Celtic's Premiership title win in Glasgow. The images show individuals officers wish to speak to in connection with the violence and anti-social behaviour in the Trongate area on Saturday, 16 May, 2026.
Disorder after title win
Following Celtic's 3-1 victory over Hearts at Parkhead, around 3,000 supporters moved to the Merchant City area. Missiles, including broken bottles, were thrown at police while they dealt with a medical emergency. Three members of the public were taken to hospital and two police officers were seriously injured.
Police appeal
Chief Superintendent Emma Croft, divisional commander for Greater Glasgow, said: "Significant enquiries remain ongoing into this disorder which impacted communities, businesses, police officers and supporters. I would urge the people in these images, or anyone who believes they may recognise them, to contact us." The appeal comes after an initial 28 images were released on Monday, bringing the total number of images issued to 56.
