Detective Inspector Andy Griffin said: 'My thoughts remain with Finbar's family who continue to receive support from specialist officers at this unimaginably difficult time.'

Finbar's father, Christopher Sullivan, a musician and founder of the 1980s band Blue Rondo à la Turk, said his son had gone to the park to use a new camera he had been given for his 21st birthday. He described the tragedy as 'the worst I could ever imagine'.

Police have thanked members of the public who came forward with information and encouraged others to do so, adding that an increased police presence will remain in the area.
