Police are searching for a sex offender after a man reportedly exposed himself to a dog walker in the Cheshire village of Handforth, close to the Greater Manchester border. Officers have appealed for public help following the incident, which occurred around 7pm on Tuesday, August 25.
Incident near Knowle Park
The woman was walking her dog from Clay Lane onto Sagars Road when she was confronted by the man. Before reaching The Link, she noticed him staring at her and then realised he had his trousers down and was exposing himself while carrying out a sex act.
Residents of Handforth, which sits next to Manchester Airport, were left "disgusted" by the incident near the end of Knowle Park. The woman continued walking and reported the matter to police.
Suspect description and police appeal
The man is described as being of Asian origin, in his 20s, and dressed all in black with his hood up.
Chief Inspector Zoe Bowden said: "I'd like to reassure residents that this type of crime is taken extremely seriously, and we are making every effort to identify the suspect.
"I would urge anyone who saw this man or has any information to contact us on 101 or via the website quoting IML 2403845."

On the Wilmslow Hub Facebook page, an anonymous resident detailed the experience. The post read: "Women be vigilant in Handforth, I am horrified. Just after 7pm tonight (25th Aug) on Sagars Road I encountered a man exposing himself. Male, Asian in his twenties, dressed in all black with his hood up. I'd just come off a dog walk from Clay Lane.
"He was huddled up beside a resident's drive just near the end by Knowle Park. He pulled his pants down and started to, you know what, all with a smile on his face. Absolutely disgusted. Reported to police. BE CAREFUL."
