
West Midlands Police have launched an urgent manhunt for a dangerous knifeman following a horrific sexual assault in a Birmingham alleyway that has left the local community on high alert.
The terrifying attack occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the Nechells area of the city, where a woman was confronted by an armed assailant who then subjected her to a sexual assault.
Detectives have released a chilling CCTV image of the suspect, described as a white male approximately 5ft 8ins tall with a medium build. The man was captured on camera wearing a distinctive grey hooded top with the hood up, grey tracksuit bottoms, and dark trainers at the time of the assault.
Urgent Public Warning Issued
Police have warned the public to remain extremely vigilant while the suspect remains at large. The individual is considered armed and dangerous, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.
Detective Inspector James Edmonds stated: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim, and we're doing everything possible to find the person responsible. We're following several lines of enquiry and would urge anyone who recognises the man in the image to contact us immediately."
