A large police cordon has been placed in Manchester city centre following an incident near Piccadilly Gardens.
Incident at around 9pm
The Manchester Evening News understands the incident occurred at around 9pm on Tuesday (August 25). Photos from the scene show tape blocking off McDonald's, Wingstop, Boots and Five Guys.
Multiple police officers and security staff can be seen behind the cordon, and debris can be seen at the McDonald's entrance.
