Police and ambulance crews were called to a Toby Carvery restaurant in Chadderton Park, Oldham, on Friday evening, August 28, after reports that a man was tasered by police.

Restaurant closed briefly

The restaurant was closed for a short period after several police cars and an ambulance were seen outside, according to witnesses. A police car remained at the scene after the restaurant reopened about an hour later.

Witnesses told the Manchester Evening News that a man appeared to have been running from police officers before he was tasered in the car park. He reportedly tried to enter the restaurant before being tasered outside.
